David Butler has practiced as a building systems engineer for more than three decades. During this time he has consulted with multinational manufacturers, energy utilities and land developers on a variety of research and development projects related to advanced building systems and energy efficiency.  Butler Résumé

Butler currently resides in the high desert in southeast Arizona where he enjoys helping builders, architects and home energy professionals optimize mechanical system and enclosure design for high performance homes. He's the founder and former administrator of the widely acclaimed Home Performance Forum, which later merged with Home Energy Pros (now branded as BPA Connections: Communities. Butler holds a BS in Business and an MS in Engineering.

When not working, Butler enjoys music and astronomy. In 2005, he organized an astronomy themed tour of Chile for a group of amateur astronomers (Chile trip) and maintains a Yahoo! group dedicated to astronomy in Chile.
